Nocturnal Enuresis

Image
A lot of folks think bed-wetting is something that only happens to kids, but it's a problem that can hit grown-ups, too. You may feel embarrassed to wake up to wet sheets, but it's not your fault. It could be due to a medical condition, medicine, or a problem with your  bladder  You've got lots of ways to fix it,I have seen few even 20+ years doing so. Causes If you start wetting the bed as an adult, see your doctor. You may hear them call your problem nocturnal enuresis, which is the medical name of the condition. Some of the reasons it may be happening to you: Your kidneys make more pee than normal.  A hormone called ADH tells your kidneys to make less urine and you normally make less of this hormone at night. When you have bed-wetting issues, you may not make enough of this hormone or your kidneys might not respond well to it. Treatment: * Monitor Insulin levels to know if Diabetic. *Check for Kidney infection. *Monitor water intake  *Exercise to make...

Macronutrients and Micronutrients and Insulin Therapy

Below is the article which I have written for one of the Poster's for India Conference 2011. Carbohydrate Carbohydrate intake is the dietary focus of blood sugar control. Based on the individual’s glucose needs, weight status, lipid profile, and eating habits, carbohydrate intake should be individualized. For years free sugars were banned in the diets of those with diabetes, probably because it was assumed that their quick absorption might contribute to elevated blood sugars. Starches were encouraged as substitutes. Scientific evidence is limited to support this common practice. Fruits and milk have been shown to have lower glycemic responses than most starches. Sucrose produces a response similar to common starches like rice, potato, and bread. Although various starches per gram of carbohydrate do have different effects on blood sugar, for purposes of dietary planning it is the total amount of carbohydrate consumed rather than the source that merits primary considerati...

NUTRIGENOMICS – Step Forward for a Personalised Nutrition Health Presented By PadmaPhaniShroff RD,ADNHP,BSc,MSc,GNIIT,IDF Certified.

Presented for few Journals to Publish it is time to get Published on my own Blog.(Semi Brief article at my first book in 2010, Journal for India with Briefing, Jornal for UK with Detailed article 2017). Summary : The hunt or a single macronutrient Or micronutrient that will prevent chronic diseases is destined to fail. It is more likely that dietary imbalances - from micronutrient deficiencies to overconsumption of macronutrients or dietary supplements - are the modifiers of metabolism and potentiators of chronic disease.Although the complexity of food and genotypic variations appear daunting, molecular and genetic technologies that may provide the means for identifying causative genes (or their variants) and the nutrients that regulate them. The use of genomics to investigate diet and gene interactions involved in health or disease, often used interchangeably with nutritional genomics. This term implies that other portions of the genome play a role in the genetic response ...

Education_Curriculum_Review's of few

Difficult for students to shift boards if need arises.IGCSE International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an academically rigorous, internationally used, specialized, English language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for International Baccalaureate and CIE A-level. India goes majority of school's with CBSE syllabus which is also very structured, highly predictable and controlled. All national entrance examinations are conducted as per this syllabus. ICSE on the other hand is conducted by yet another board, CISCE or the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination. It is similar to AISSE conducted by CBSE. Singapore System of Study aims to investigate teachers’ beliefs about curriculum and how their beliefs are associated with their pedagogical practices which in turn shape students’ learning. Research evidence from the OECD (2009) shows that teachers’ beliefs, practices and attitudes are closely associated wit...
