Liver a Salient Organ

One of the most important organ of vertebrate species, which facilitates food digestion gives the body energy and flushes out dangerous substances. 

The largest organ of the body, this roughly wedge shaped,red-brown structure lies in the upper right abdominal cavity directly below the diaphragm. 

Liver divided into two main lobes each consisting of many lobules,these lobules are surrounded by branches of hepatic artery which supplies the liver with oxygenated blood and the portal vein, which supplies nutrient rich blood. 

The liver plays a vital role in the body as it produces and processes a wide range of chemical substances.The substances produced include important Proteins for blood plasma such as albumin. 

The liver also produces cholesterol and special Proteins that help the blood to carry fats around the body. In addition livercells secrete bile which removes waste produces from the liver and aids the breakdown and absorption of fats in the small intestine.

Including another major function processing of nutrients for use by cells. The liver also stores excess glucose as glycogen. In addition it controls the blood level of aminoacids (the mere building blocks of Proteins). If the level of AA is too high the liver converts the excess into Glucose,Proteins other AAs or Urea (for excretion).

Inorder to test the function of liver and its cells : Liver Biopsy,Tests of blood chemistry that can detect changes in the way liver is making new substances and show whether liver cells are healthy or being damaged. 

Fatty Sugary foods, Alcohol, High in SatFat foods, Red Processed Meat will play hardest on liver even by damaging to its worst. Frequent dinning out / Eating Processed foods with irregular eating patterns lead to the symptoms like : 

-Generally feeling unwell and tired. 
-Loss of appetite and Muscle weight 
-Tenderness and Pain in liver area 
-Spider like small blood capillaries on skin above waist level. 
-Biotchy red Palms 
-Disturbed sleep Patterns.
